Domaine de la Bégude (Bandol) (K&L Wine Merchant - Redwood City) : N: Rustic dark red fruits from a forest, damp undergrowth and a much more enjoyable funk. P: Dark but unripe cranberries, dark pomegranate arils, wet and dark minerals with a drying oak and hay on the finish. Again with specific blocks showing much better, you might as well just grab the SVD ones.

Mourvedre BYO (Michaels place) : Restrained, blue fruit flavors, ink and LOTS of oak. A bit strange.

I'm not a fan of Bandol, so when i decide to open this bottle this night of july with family, i was a little bit puzzled. It was a very good surprise : tasted with a "daube provençale" : light and easy to drink for a 14,2 %, south of France, spices, morello cherry. Very nice. I have a bottle of 2009 in cellar : waiting a few years. 40 €
