Deux Montille Saint-Aubin 1er Cru sur Gamay Blanc

Even though it finishes a bit short, the limestone and bright acids of this make it very pleasant and the bottle went down pretty quick. Yellow apple, tart pear, and some faintly green herbs like tarragon there on the finish. I'd be interested to try this in a stronger vintage. With temperatures increasing in the CdB, St Romain might be a good place to look.

Superbe blanc ici au nez de vanille, de miel et de thym. La poire prédomine en fraicheur, mais le pamplemousse prend de l'ampleur à mesure qu'il se réchauffe. Finale légère de bois jeune/vert et de thym. Très fin. J'adore. (***1/2)

Aroma: Honeysuckle, buttered toast, golden apple, spice. Palate: Spicy apple and green olive. Minerals. Moderate acid. Structured.
