This was a little too fruit forward for me, almost Shiraz like up front, then mid-palette is quiet, then expected medium plus tannins. So a little disjointed. Second taste was better, with mouth coated already, but not the style of fruit I was looking for.

The nose showed tart cherry with ashy earth, clay and minerals. On the palate, I found blackberry and cherry fruit with an herbal quality. The finish dried the palate and took a turn toward tart red berries. I enjoyed this wine quite a bit for it’s mix of fruit and earth.

Saturated opaque purple red violet color; appealing. tar, light pepper, oregano palate; tight, tasty, tart berry, tar, licorice, oregano, green peppercorn palate with firm tannins; needs 3-plus years; medium-plus finish
