Starry Night Petite Sirah

Nice nose-aromatic, but not overpowering. Nice full body and legs. Dark berries and currant with a smooth finish. I would certainly buy it again.

This note runs against my preference for Old World, terroir driven wines...but I really enjoyed this. I tend to like Petite Sirah bottlings, and this is one of the better ones I've tried. Pleasant aromatics are followed by a wine that is 'thick' on the palate, but not gloopy. Healthy amounts of tannin and acid make this wine anything but flabby. The taste profile and texture are in squarely in my wheelhouse. Thankfully, it's not oaky either. Very nice!
