Very good. Quite complex, layered and exhibiting signs of maturity. Nice bouquet, hint of tropical fruits, pearblossum peach with a savory element. Dense mouthfeel, rich with classic elements of aged Roussanne, peach, spicy almonds. Mature, but fresh and no overt signs of oxidation. Would like to try again. Good effort and a testament to solid winemaking.

My first Roussanne (and my first Qupé in maybe 10 years), tried at Park Tavern. Pale color, nose of diesel (in a good way) and an initial taste of exactly what a TN below says -- Honeynut Cheerios. And then before you start traveling the Riesling path it goes all minerals and chardonnay on you. Really a delight to try and it complemented my black cod like a dream.

Sante @ the Fairmont Sonoma, CA Golden hues, full bodied Green pears, honey, some petrol notes, Heavy upfront taste with a medium + finish, wet hay, Wow! What a nice surprise. This wine was drinking perfectly. Its nice to see producers growing less popular varietals .

Honey nut Cheerios sprinkled with beeswax, but in all the right ways. Really drinking lovely right now with tons of layers that were changing every hour it was open. Worth the wait.

Delicious as before. This is seriously wonderful and, sadly, my last bottle. I think it is a good idea to drink it now as I don't see it improving and I thought there was just a hint of some oxidation this time around. (I haven't stored it well, so maybe not if you have it at cellar-temperatures).

Whoa....this is something! Found this in a closeout bin....golden metallic, green tinge color. Wonderful nose of match strike, lemon oil, hazelnut butter, pit fruit, spicy honeycomb. Oily and rich in the mouth, yet dancing with acidity! OMG, what complex Roussanne flavors.....pit and tropical fruit, match strike(ala Alban), super spice, green tea, hazelnut butter, honeysuckle, candied mango, green apple skin. Plenty of rich fruit, yet it is lite and refreshing with all the minerals and citrus acidity. What a great mouthfeel! …

Peach and tropical fruit flavors, plus a definite floral component, along with nice acidity and a little minerality. Still, the fruit seems a bit muted at this point. Still pretty good, but I think it's a year or so past its prime.

Beautiful nose of peach, honey, lemon/lime and oak. Full bodied, precise and intense fruit on the palate with a long finish. Slightly oaky, but pure enjoyment from beginning to end.

Dramatic evolution as wine warmed. Almost riesling-like when cool- smoky, honey, rich unctuous flavors as reached room temp. Tasty and enjoyable.

connoisseur wines new world and new additions fall portfolio (Vivere, Chicago IL) : nose: good funky nose with loads of oils, crisco tones, cinnamon sticks, lemon meringue, and fresh apricots taste: great oily feel with crisco tones, cinnamon sticks, lemon meringue and lots of apricots overall: This is an outstanding roussanne that evokes the rhone. You have to enjoy these types of wines though, or be willing to experiment as they aren't for everyone, but this one has a great …

Spicy, with honey, apricot, white truffle notes. Compares favorably to Northern Rhone stylings- but a bit more quaffable and accessible- can drink without food. Nice stuff...good QPR.

Orange & lemon on the start, coated in something I can't figure out (honey, cotton candy?), bananas creep in on the finish; complex; better when warmer

Pretty good wine for $15. I think I like the Tablas Creek better. It seemed to lose its fruit over night, drink the whole bottle once it's opened.
