Not nearly as good as I would expect from a premier cru. Not as big and complex as you would expect from a 2005. Maybe more age would help, I don't know. Acid was too prominent.

This bottle was consumed with BBQ'd cedar plank salmon. It went very well with the food. The wine had a solid body with a nice nose. I gave it an 88 because it was lacking something. It's structure was not complete. Don't get me wrong it was a delightful wine. I would buy more from this producer. Drink now or hold another year.

Needs to breathe at least 2hrs - still tannic- serve with lighter red meats or stronger white meats. Can go for at least another year oe two

I think this wine may get better after a day of open rest. But still good fresh after corking q

I like this a lot more than others here. Yes, it is a little rough. No, it is not what one expects to get from a 1er cru Burgundy, but there is a lot going on. Lots of fruit, funky earth, tannin... This would pair really well with red meats or tomato sauces. For $22 CAD, it's a bargain.

Loads of strawberry on the nose & palate. Some cedar & a bit of tart cherry fruit. Very simple, fruity, lots of acidity.. just what I'd expect from a $22 Burgundy.

Haskell's Wine Sale Tasting; 4/5/2010-4/6/2010 (Bloomington) : Nose shows strawberries, minerals and cedar. The cedar is a bit much on the palate otherwise a few more points. Earth dominate wine and medium finish.

Utterly forgetable. An example of burgundy at its worst.

tart - acidic - unbalanced - no funk ... wow --this has all the things I want to avoid in PN. Scratch this off the list ( and it had dropped in price on the AprilLCBO re-release to $22 ... damm )

Pop n pour. medium-bodied with a nose of cherry, strawberry, red flowers and a hint of earthy funkiness. Ripe, yet balanced and rewarding on the palate with lively acidity and a smooth, generous finish. Drink through 2013.

light-bodied, pale ruby tones, red fruits (esp. strawberry) on the nose, overly tart, disappointing finish, needs time but an underwhelming Mercurey nonetheless.

This my idea of what Burgundy is all about. A beautiful Mercurey from the Cote Chalonnaise, light, pale but with that wonderful barnyard bouquet.
