Open for two hours; no decant. Great nose of blueberry jam, hints of eucalyptus and mocha. Smooth, velvety palette. Tart cherry, blueberry compote, bramble and tobacco, with underlying firm tannins that tells you this will live in the cellar for three to five years as it evolves to its prime. Excellent expression of Petite. Served with grilled veg and steak. Excellent.

Very dark and crimson fruit and color. Decent fruit. Shortish finish and some heat. Like an everyday Cotes du Rhone. 88

Aside from being by favorite varietal, this beast was still very young in the tasting. It was a beautiful purpleish hue, as all young Petite Sirahs are, but it was more than a mouthful. The finish lingered and lingered! I think I’ll wait a couple more years before I open the other ones. Really yummy!! 😀🍷🍷👍 👍

N: Pleasant Medium intensity, Black Cherry, Dark Berries, Chocolate Liqueur, Menthol P: Chocolate, Coffee, Dark Berries, Raisins, Asian Spice Velvety feel, Medium acid and tannin, good balance. F: Long I had this wine older vintage many years ago at the winery and remember liking it, so when the opportunity came recently to buy it I did. This is very quaffable easy drinking with good balance. Good intensity but not at all a fruit bomb. Will definitely buy more.

Dark purple. A bit tannic out of the bottle but still pretty smooth. Blueberries and other dark fruits. Good qpr.

PnP, ran through a vinturi three times, the nose is very deep black fruit and heat. The palate is very rich and almost drinks like a port, with vanilla added to the big fruit action. A longer finish with a bigger mouthfeel, solid QPR here.

WOW! This was GREAT! Great nose, fruit, and finish. Outstanding!!! UPDATE- Since I was asked to provide more info regarding my rating: First of all, I do not look at what other people have scored the wine before I score it. I did start it at 92, but as I thought more about the wine I kept bumping it up and wound up at 95 because it really was a remarkable wine. I try to keep my comments brief but …

Very dark, squid ink color. Extremely flavorful and intense with notes of dark fruit upfront, especially ripe blueberry, followed by intense spice and pepper at the finish.

Little dusty road aroma. Not great with first sip, finishes with plum, pepper, sour candy and cinnamon. Really needs a fatty meat with it.
