Ermacora Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano

Had this a few nights ago, so going from memory, but this was well-liked, pretty elegant stuff with nice acidity, some slight nuttiness to it, some herbaceous, some floral, a touch of earth, quite pure.

The Italian White tour continues to great effect with this crafty wine. It offers up pear skin, rice, and macadamia nuts, with light earthy/veggie/floral tones to the side and some pithy bitterness on the finish. One K&L reviewer asserted that it would be great with a variety of vegetarian dishes, and I tend to agree. That happens to limit my enthusiasm for this wine, but I'm likely to buy it again based on the QPR and versatility of the wine. …
