Had two bottles of this as the main thanksgiving pairing! Lovely

All parties thought this was the wine of the night. Even up against some Napa cabs. So much going on and hanging on to its Pinot pedigree. I am thinking pretty much over the peak but still in a good spot.

This bottle doesn’t strike me quite as outrageous as the one 29 months ago. It’s a deep, dark and heavy pinot, still, but I get the cherry aspect that’s the varietal essence. 2/24/2022 Note: I want to report a wine theft and re-labeling. Someone stole this syrah from the Rocks District in WA and stuck the RLF label on it. It has the Rocks funk, spice, bacon flavors and mouth feel, with syrah power. Definitely not a pinot. Hard to …

Not my style, big extracted dark fruit, plum, closer to syrah in style than Pinot Noir, similar to what I have seen with Bevan Pinots, made by winemakers better known as Syrah/cabernet specialists.

Seems to be losing strength: our scores go 95, 94, 93, 92 over a year. It's still a beauty, full of Pinot flavors and smooth as silk, just not as powerful as it was a year ago. Maybe it's the continuing deterioration of our taste buds :(

Ripe red cherry fruit with lots mineral elements, cool ash notes and a fine smoky overlay. Fresh and stylistically surprisingly cool on the palate despite the ripeness in the fruit. Firm texture with structural tannin. Intense and powerful yet harmonious. Intensity continued to increasing with time in the glass. You need to know what to expect here... if you're into refined, elegant Old World Pinot, hands off! But I love the alternate Pinot reality this opens up.

Still liking this one more than the community... a monster, huge on the palate. Definitely not for the faint of heart or those who like subtlety and finesse, it's an in-your-face CA Pinot.

I let it breathe an hour and drank over 1 hour. An every day fun pinot. Pepper, spice and cola notes. Aromatic nose. Similar notes on day 2. Agree w Vinous review.

A full-throttle Pinot from Paso that is at its best now... a real beauty.

Like my earlier comments, very rich, very serious PN. Texture is almost viscous. Much effort and care went into this wine.

This tastes nothing like a normal Pinot Noir - it's a brawny and full-bodied number that knocks your socks off with flavor without the finessse usually associated with the varietal. Fun wine though. Didn't score but your opinion will depend on how much you can sway from the normal profile associated with the grape. Seemed fun as a change of pace and you can certainly drink it on its own!

Big in style, there was some slight Brett/funk on this wine, slightly better second night. Definitely a departure from More typical elegant Pinot noir.

This was a big pinot, nothing delicate about it. However I liked it, had more structure than most Cali pinot, but was well balanced, big fruits and good acidity.

Harry Carey would say “Holy Cow!” This PN grabs you by the collar and really shakes you. Big, bold Pinot flavors all the way through the finish. In fact, strawberry jam seemed to keep going right through the finish and beyond. Never had a PN finish quite this way. If you are looking for subtle, buy something else. Still, there is a rich amalgam of flavors beyond the jam. I think this has at least 5 more years in front …

Big, bold Pinot! Nose is very similar to many Oregon Pinot’s with subtle red fruit, earth, toast, mushroom. But then the first sip is massively jammy, strawberry, preserves, and not much else at PNP. Very tasty, but not your traditional Pinot!

Pinot Noir Booker style. A lovely wine, but somewhat missing the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir. Very enjoyable nevertheless.

Big, extracted, borderline Syrah characteristics. Not surprising given the producer. If you like the style, you’ll be happy, however if you like a more balanced or elegant Pinot Noir you won’t like this.

Lots to like here, but perhaps a little to much of it, for a pinot noir.

Big, dense, sledgehammer of a Pinot, almost with the impact of a Booker Syrah. More power than finesse.

Big for a Pinot, but not just big fruit. Terrific mouthfeel and secondary rhubarb and herbal notes. We opened for Easter dinner, and could not have gone better with smoked ham and fixings. Lovely stuff.. sad to say it’s my last bottle.
