Very solid Brunello with a little age. Not wildly impressive but very nice. In a pretty good spot.

I’ve held on to these for years now thinking they would get better, but after a 2 hour decant slightly disappionting. I can’t quite put for finger on it, but I’m sure a better palate would tell me. I’ll open a 2012 over Christmas and see if I get a better experience

Slight bricking. Maturing but still fresh. Notes of cherry, currant, tobacco, herbs and balsamic. Refined and integrated while keeping some ruggedness. Better than five years ago.

Always one of my favorites. Dark inky purple hue, modest fruity nose. Initial modest Brunello burst of dark fruits - cherries, currants moving to a burst of of flavors- licorice, barnyard, leather and wild tannins pocking the tastebunds for about 30 seconds. Love it. A great vintage year for a great producer

Cloudy super bright neon red color. Mixed red and dark berries with some mustiness on the nose. Similar tasting notes with a strong tannic presence and a bit of black tea.

There is some bricking here. The nose is textbook Brunello. Nice miinerality, great balancing acidity, red fruits. Deliiciious, food-friendly Brunello di Montalcino that's ready to drink and will hold for 5-10 years if properly stored.

Note after about an hour open. Colour promises much with dark centre and lovely brick robe. Nose is expressive and intense, with red cherry and dried plum notes, some dried herbs , earth and a deeper balsamic note. Fresh and very enticing. Surprisingly bright, lively color, only some slight brown hints at the edges. Fruit forward, creamy, almost Bordeaux like. Attractive sweet, sappy fruit but with class and balance. Much more modern and international in style than for example the classic, deeper Lisini 2010 I've had a week ago or so. In a great spot. 17/20

Popped and poured. No decanting necessary. I would say it's peaking or close to it if you want some of the dark fruit in the flavor profile. Really nice.

It took about 30 min to open up and round out. There is a mouth coating elegance that hits me kinda like lighter than it looks. Well balanced at this age. Found these buried in my cellar. The tasting notes on Cellar Tracker says its probably past its prime. Definitely enjoyable to drink, but agree its getting past its prime. Drank in a blind tasting. All guesses pointed towards France. Fully mature but not over the top. Will hold well some more years. Very full bodied with soft tannins. Tasted alongside a 2007 Casanova di Nero, Tenuta Nuova. Both mature and without the typical Sangiovese fruit accidity probably as a result of age and well integrated tannins from cask.

Decent color still. Good acidity. Little remaining tannins are somewhat harsh. Muted fruit means that rustic notes are coming to the foreground. Overall, a bit faded but still enjoyable.

The overall group favorite at a tasting of 16 Brunellos from 1989 through 2007, largely for it good concentration, delicious taste, fine structure, integration, and enjoyable fruit, though not my personal favorite. A luvly lunch at Restaurant Aurora provides a spectacular view of Florence. This place is the definition of a venue for a slow, liquid lunch on a sunny day...stunning! Very yummy, earthy and dark. Took quite a while to open up. Great value...yet again, it would be impossible for a wine not to taste great with this view!

Pretty and a little brackish (think black tea). Not a big wine at this point, but still drinking very well.

A delicious wine. Clear ruby with some bricking around the edges. The nose started with Teaberry dominant, changed to black cherry with spicy vanilla and hints of earth and leather. On the palate, she shined with a nice integration of bright acidity, dark fruity flavors and dusty tannins. Gone in no time.

Decanted 30min. Mature garnet red, yellow rim, 5. Vinous rather neutral nose. Harmonious and balanced palate, mellow tannins. Drink now - 2020. A disappointment because of the total lack of secondary or tertirary elements.

PnP, at a Holiday party. For a young BdM, was surprisingly approachable. Red fruit, cherry, with maybe some cinnamon like spice and leather to it. Had a great mouth feel and enough forward fruit (which is a style that I like) while still maintaining a BdM taste profile. Not overly complex, but very tasty.

16th Sept 2011: the colour was very red, a non-distinguished nose and hardly any legs. Perhaps i opened this bottle too young but i did not quite enjoy it. However, comparing this to the Antinori (perhaps an unfair comparison), this wine has a long way to go to attain the boldness and the assertiveness of the Antinori. Fresh blackberries, cherries and a bit of moist cellar on the nose. On the palate blackberries, leather and something mineral, that I can't quite pinpoint. Quite powerful tannins, nicely balanced with acid. So far the 2003 and 2004 Argianos had me more impressed, but with this one it's as if there's something really good lurking around the corner. Fin orange kant. Lidt skovbund i næsen. Meget kraftig duft; kaffe, peber og overmoden pære og jordbær. Kraftige tanniner, dog uden at være for dominerende. Smag af kaffe og bitter chokolade. Let røget og lang eftersmag. Fremragende køb til prisen.

Bouquet af kraftig peber, let alkohol med præg af cedertræ. Farven er dyb rød med let orange kant. Kraftige, men ikke dominerende tanniner. Sødlig melon i smagen med en lang eftersmag domineret af peber. Gik godt til oksekød.
