The wine looks yellow brown colored. It hasn't got the character associated with well-aged reisling. A bit past it now

NobleRottersSydney - Oz riesling 2000 & older (Guillaume at Bennelong) : {11.5%, cork} Gold verging on amber colour. A flat semi-oxidised apple-core nose which appears to encompass a whiff of botrytis. The palate is rather flat & astringent. Clearly past its best – surprising in light of a very good 91 we drank in March 05. Oddly, ullage level was very good – I didn’t see the cork, but it seems clear this wine is not quite up to scratch …
