Concur with other reviews that this wine is better with food, but that's not saying much in my opinion. Very " barnyard" which I associate with Sangiovese. Not a fan.

Decanted for almost an hour. On the nose, overripe dark fruit, rustic earthy notes, some spice, high alcohol. On the palate, sour cherry, spice, light to medium body, nice acidity, slightly bitter at the end, medium finish. Better with food than a stand alone glass.

Color: a very dark purple Body: medium to medium light body Aroma:dark and smokey flavors specifically cherry Palate: very high acidity that pairs nicely with the tomato sauce of a pizza. That aside, not much there fruitwise besides a little sour cherry and plum. This is a wine made for food, not that great otherwise.

Meh! I have had some very nice Tuscan wines at the same price point, so I was really disappointed. Smoky, dusty, light boded, cherry and plum. Disjointed with a bitter finish.

Dry, oaky, medium body. Not great but goes down well with food. Decent QPR.

Nice glass of wine. Easy on the pallet and the wallet. Good balance between crisp and dry with nice dark fruit forward flavor.

Does well with decanting. Big nose of dark fruit, licorice and spice. Dark red color, almost purple. A jammy wine with high acidity and decent, though not overpowering tannins. Medium finish. Not a ton of complexity, but great QPR. Very drinkable.

Nose of ripe cherries and red licorice. Lush and balanced in texture. Medium-bodied, with moderate acidity. Friendly with food and drinking nicely right now.

Had a taste at total wine. Purchased a bottle... Med bodied, complex, earth notes, tobacco, leather. Good qpr. Very enjoyable.

Nicely balanced dark burnt cherry. Almost more like a Nebbiolo. Good food wine. Good value for the price

My wife and I did not like this wine at all. Chemical, overmanipulated wine that comes off not strong but rather unpleasant, fruit forward but not in a good way, very unnatural tasting. Going for a big Californian kind of thing, I guess, which is not what we like. Didn't pair at all well with an Indian dinner, but we didn't like it on its own either. Disappointing. Grade: D.

Light nose with oaky smell. Dark cherry, strong acid, and jammy flavor which lingers on the palate. The taste is not over-oaked at all. Great with strong foods.

Nice sangiovese blend but marginal value at $16. General problem with super tuscans being overpriced based on reputation. Finish is lasting and pleasant. Body is solid without too much fruit. Good tannin and complexity.

The wine looks tawny colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

Dark reddish-purple in color. Fragrant, attractive and youthful nose of dark fruits of cherries, blackberries & plums with earthy & dusty overtones, floral notes of violets, herbs, cocoa, mint, spices and minerals in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced, smooth textured, ripe black fruit flavors of sweet cherries, blackberries & tart plums with herbs, earthy, dark cocoa, spices & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and extended airing and has some limited …

Was OK. Probably won't get again as it doesn't stand out and is not really our style. Makes me think Tuscan wines may not be our favorites, especially Sangiovese Cabernet blends.

This is ridiculously good for the price. I didn't take any specific notes, but yes it is superb. I will be picking up some more of this.

This is a great everyday wine. You can find it for $12 or so, and it drinks more like a $20 bottle. Ripe fruit, light spice, deep red color, the normal characteristics of a decent majority Sangiovese wine. Medium acidity and medium finish. Good value and will buy more.
