Dark deep cherry red, clear, legs, 3/3 Delicate complex nose, fruit, spice, herbs, violet, mint, cinnamon, pimento, sweet wood, soft, 7/7 A little hollow to begin, opens up, medium body, soft tannins, noticeable acid, cigar box, chewy, cassis - blackcurrant ribena flavours, long finish, persistent. Warm finish. 7 or 8/10. Complex, subtle. I like it.

Dark ruby colour. Typically sweet Oz shiraz nose with dark fruit, blackcurrant, liquorice and dusty tannin. Very little development and lacking much interest. Sweet finish shows some heat.

Needed at least two hours of air to come together. Red fruit and flowers on the nose. Well balanced and plush on the palate. Viognier is evident. Drink now.

Nose: very fruity and some flowers too. Mouth: full body, wood very well integrated. Viognier clearly calms down the Shiraz and brings complexity. Very persistent aftertaste. Excellent!! (42 views)

Good wine, ripe sweet fruit - little evolution on 18 months ago when I last had it. Heavy sediment already.

Bottle and cork had visibly suffered the heat of New Years Day 2006 (pre-cellar days), and hopes were not high on opening. However, more than pleasantly surprised. Aroma, colour and first tast all more than acceptable. Viognier influence softened after an hour being opened, and became a wine that was dominated by typical Yarra Valley shiraz flavours. Yum!
