An amazing bottle of Chardonnay. Had a little spice and a delicious note of flint, oak, and vanilla. Need to buy more Martinelli in the future. A wonderful bottle of wine!!

JD Friday Wine Group - ED host (City Club, FW) : Served blind - this one was much lighter in color than the Trois Noix before it, and had a stronger lemony, and slightly metallic nose. It was a bit too cold when served. The nose had me thinking chardonnay, and the flavors confirmed that guess for me. This wine still had great acidity, and very little evidence of oak - but that may be the age. No caramel flavors, …

This wine is beautiful at 20 years old. Bright, acidic, earthy, well rounded, beautiful golden color. Nothing I was expecting from a 10 year old chard. Sooo good I couldn’t swallow my sips forever. This wine just kept me engaged.

This was excellent and got better with each passing moment. I got apricot, pear, and a hint of butter on the palate once it opened up. Started green and kept growing in power and on the finish as it took on some air which added weight. A terrific bottle and sad I only purchased one on release. For those who have it in the cellar, I would drink now.

Lovely. Seems to possess additional years ability to cellar without classic Russian River Valley complexity falling off.

The fruit is missing from the nose as compared l to most other vintages of this wine that usually love. Still well balanced and with tropical flavors but. It the best showing of this wine. Zip Tony is typically my favorite Martinelli chards and one of my favorite Sonoma chards. Maybe it’s in a weird place or this was an atypical bottle? Still enjoyable. Just not as stellar as usual.

Crisp and sharp with appropriate fruit & oak. Outstanding!

Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of apples with a bit of toasty oak. Balance becoming a bit challenged and flavors more muted, making for a less compelling wine than the last bottle, but still pleasant.

Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of apples with a bit of toasty oak. Nice acidity bringing out the flavors. Quite good balance with a moderate finish. Very pleasant.

Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of pineapple and vanilla oak supported by nice acidity. Overall good balance but a bit monotone, lacking in depth and nuance to be exceptional. Still pleasant enough.

Pleasant unctuous mouthfeel but flavor fails to justify the premium paid. Didn't get all the flavors described in other notes

Pineapple, papaya, quince on the nose. Rich luscious body and good balance of fruit and acidity. I always love Zio Tony chard but this is definitely one of Martinelli's best efforts.

Similar to prior note, this is a really nice, well-balanced Chardonnay.

A high-octane Chardonnay that pulls it off with style - providing fruit and acidity in a tasty package. Light yellow in color, full in body, nose of pear, orange peel, and jasmine. Tastes of lemon, grapefruit, vanilla, and cedar, with a lingering finish. The high alcohol (15.7%) results in a little heat as the wine warms up, but it's otherwise well-concealed. Big, to be sure, but quite good. Drink now or in next year - not sure how long this …

Wow! This wine brings crisp acids, yet the mouthfeel is rounded and buttery. Even non-Chardonnay drinkers will be impressed. Drink now and enjoy!

Rich luscious layered tropical fruits and grapefruit and a hint of hazelnut on the finish. Vibrant acidity to balance the oak and rich body. Delightful. The Zio Tony chard is always a favorite of mine but this is turning out Better than expected.

Served to guests with dinner last night. No formal notes. This is a classy, succulent Chardonnay. Intense fruit. Superb length. Silky texture. Food-friendly acidity. Everyone loved it!

Lush tropical fruit profile, with decent acidity to provide some lift on the finish. Big yet balanced and very enjoyable.
