It is very sad to see my last bottle being consumed. I must say the time is now or never. Really appreciate the quality of this wine and the earthy and minerality there. Unlike other new world's full with fruit, especially red fruit, this wine has the balance closer to an original Burgundy. The salami element is unique. I had the pleasure meeting with Ms. Marin earlier and she is a very impressive woman.

Gave to my roommate to serve on a date. They wound up hooking up after, so that's either a plug for how good the wine is, or that its above 14% and still delicious. Take your pick :-P

Glowing, transparent ruby with medium viscosity in the glass. Funky, but intriguing nose of black currant, wet tobacco, blood orange, brett, burnt toast and heat. Secondary black cherry, cranberry and nail polish. Mineral driven initially, brooding mid and ripe citrus and hot on the back palate. Medium/full body with burnt toast, cranberry, Orange Crush soda and pepper. Mouth coating with a solid backbone. Long, lingering finish. Interesting, complex effort and exceptional QPR on closeout at Grocery Outlet for $16.

Cali Pinot fans would like this nice expression. Doesn't get hot or heavy but is nice and ripe.

Full body, nose is with blackcurrent. Color is deep but not purple. Taste is actually a bit salty, I won't say it is beacon because there is not crisp toast, rather like salami. Quite unique. Long finish too.
