lemon, melon, mineral, honey in the end, not pronounced aroma somehow, long mineral finish

Vacheron has a good reputation in Sancerre but yet again I found their wine somewhat ordinary. It seemed to lack clarity or focus.

Minerals, lemon, grass. Mineraly when cold, grassier when its warm

At 13% ABV—2% lower than Les Romain. The wine is super clean and focused, with that sharp, precise style I really enjoy. There’s a great balance between zesty citrus and refreshing acidity.

Happy Birthday, Aline! (Verve Wine - Chicago IL) : I tasted 3 of the 4 bottles opened tonight, all were consistent. Ripe lemon and lemon curd with good volume and depth, ending with bright energy. Overall wonderful balance, drinking so well already now with more to come.

Ripe citrus that manages to retain its edgy, lean Sancerre character. Good+ length with lots of nuance, interestingly complex for an entry level wine. Great value.

A very enjoyable Sancerre with stuffing and quality to keep your interested throughout the entire bottle. Elderflower, quince, pear and apples dominated with hints of tropical notes. Good quality here. Nice entry and mid palate as well with fresh acidity and good structure. Probably better in 2-3 years but in my opinion still very good to drink already now.

With clams in Sardinian Clam Sauce. Great match. Light gold. Grapefruit and melon nose. Wild herbs too. I love the perfect balance of fruit, acid and herbaceousness in this wine. Probably my favorite region for Sauvignon Blanc, though Bordeaux is right up there, too. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

Excellent Sancerre. Arômes de buis, fleurs blanches... Assez typique de son cépage Grande persistance aromatique.

This is a wonderful wine. One of the best I can remember from Vacheron. It hits me with a tangerine citrus vs. in other years more on the lemon spectrum. it evolved for us over several hours getting better in our opinion

Colour: Pale Lemon Nose: Medium (+) Intensity - Gooseberry, Pear, Quince, Passion Fruit, Nectarine, Elderflower Palate: Dry Medium Acidity Medium Alcohol Medium Bodied Medium Finish Medium (+) Intensity - Gooseberry, Pear, Quince, Pasdion Fruit, Nectarine, Elderflower, Wet Stone, Chalk Quality: Good / Very Good - A surprisingly ripe Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc, with textbook minerality and (also surprisingly) mild acidity, good structure and body, decent length. Personally I'd like a more acidic Sauvignon Blanc, but this is still very enjoyable. Suitability …

Very light colour. Not as mineral as the 2021. There is a mid palate heaviness that makes it slightly off balance. A year in the cellar should help.

Slightly more tropical than previous vintages, I feel the 2022 vintage is slightly more ripe and less acidity driven leaning to a more topical, quince and Asian pear style of Sauvignon Blanc.

Second Sancerre wine of the night and this was nothing exciting- indeed a triple “O” from me - ordinaire, over-rated and over-priced for which it loses a mark.

Some grassiness on the nose, but subtle. Some citrus peel as well. A bit of struck matchstick. Maybe a touch of oak, but not much. Lucious on the palate. Great mid-palate weight. Medium acidity. The vegetal/herbal part comes through on the finish. This could be phenolic bitterness too. Served cold with fresh pesto. A good pairing.

Pleasant summer quaffer. I get a touch of pyrizines on the nose, but there is also citrus and some exotic fruit I can’t place. Mid-palate is very rich. I expect if I was blinded on this , I would probably say Napa SB. Medium acidity. Short finish. Sancerre is getting warmer and I think this is going to be the norm going forward. I miss the taughtness a bit. Paired with shrimp boil, rice and salad.

pale golden straw and medium body. a touch of wood is apparent in a nose of gooseberry, lime and melon accented by fresh herbs and blossoms. a pithy base runs from entry to finish and while citric fruit with white berry flow in smooth, round texture. long persistence with a stony vein. good balance, and could use a bit of bottle age to show its complexity. 13% AbV; from various vineyards that incorporate the three main soil types; around 20% …

Straw, green meniscus. Grassy, SB nose, some cat piss though not dominant. Palate has moderate weight and intensity; zero Sancerre character: no smoke, no minerals, no salinity; nothing to tell you "Sancerre." Short. This is a hard no. This is a bottle of SB from anywhere with agreeable soil, not worth $.01 for the pedigree, There are many, many better Sancerres available for this money.

Lemons and minerals. Lacks the Sancerre funk (for the most part) but RE-freshing.
