Nicolas Chemarin Régnié La Haute Ronze

Deep violet in the glass. A rowdy Gamay that's marked with a rich spice-fruit profile and a hefty body. There are some grippy tannins in the mix as well, but not too much extraction here. It stays in reasonable borders giving a wine that's smooth and easy to drink, but definitely with more power than your run-of-the-mill Gamay. Good stuff if you want to turn it up a notch but keep the finesse.
