Domaine de la Terre Rouge Noir

Initial nose is very light. As it opens, initial taste is cherry and caramel, and finishing with some decent acidity. Would like it to have a little more bite in the back, especially for a chateauneuf inspired wine. More notes as it decants. (cont) MUCH better after 1hr in the decanter. Cherry gives way to plum, and a lot more backbone in the finish.

One of those nice wines that makes you stop on the mouthful and think about the flavors. Lots going on....not to fruit forward, but plenty of fruit flavors. Mellow all the way down. Wonderful wine. Get some, try some.

Unusual and exceptional combination of grenache, mourvedre and syrah. Deep flavours of chocolate, fruit and terrior. Excellent.
