Nelle Winery Syrah

Much better than their grenache... Super full body, glossy in the glass. Decanted for 2 hours. Aromas of sappy blackberry, bitter herbs, coffee, and game with a sort of boozy quality. In the mouth, the wine is rich, tons of glycerin- then the acidity & tannin hit like a 1-2 punch. Paso Robles Wine Trip; 9/12/2017-9/14/2017 : Deep and rich aromas of blueberry, pepper, meat, compact but gorgeous aromatics. Deep, suave, chewy but not too heavy, this is a structured but opulent Syrah with saucy black and blue fruit. Laced with pepper and meat and charcoal and iron. Wow. This could be a great ringer in a blind tasting of high-end Washington State Syrah, it’s that good, but it’s also so Paso. I’d love to re-taste this in 3-5 years.
