Flight 4, Portugal, Wine 1 (blind): The wine was pale yellow-green in colour and offered imprecise apple, lemon, peach and elder aromas on the nose. On the palate the wine was fresh, with a touch of CO2 and a mild bitterness, and showed apple, lemon and peach flavours, paired with medium-plus slightly sour acidity and good length. A medium- to light-bodied, simplistic but solid, well-made Vinho Verde. Drink now.
