Drunk with roast goose and trimmings on Christmas Day. An attractive semi-mature Gevrey profile of cherry, earth and sauvage, with notable old vine sappiness. The 1998 vintage was slightly noticeable on tannins being a little rough and a firm acidity poking through. Very enjoyable though ***1/2

This is still a vibrant bottle, and by far exceeded my expectations. Deep hue. Earthy and autumnal, with tart cherries, dried strawberries, grenadine and after a while, even some fresh flowers. The palate is very harmonious, tannins resolved and a firmly energetic fruit core keeps it all together. Impressive!

Has seen better days. This wine is nearing it's end. Heavy brick color almost brown. Still had some nice fruit left.

Superb. Elegant, refined and complex. Lots of perfume, lots of development character and surprising power. Wish I had more!

Full ruby without evolution. Complex but unintegrated nose of vegetal scents, iron, and red fruits. Large scaled and fairly lush with a licorice, chocolatey quality. A strapping mouthful but little finesse, and I wonder if it will improve with time.

Lovely fragrant and stylish nose.Medium bodied. This has very good red fruit but is beautifully soft and elegant.Has the structure to last a few more years but I suspect it is at or near its best right now.Has just lovely concentration and is ample and rich. Now on the second glass it is getting quite mellow but with a long finish and is an excellent wine.Especially pleased as this was a very recent purchase from Strakers at a bargain price …

Very mean thin wine, faint scent of not quite ripe fruit. Not entirely unpleasant to drink, but why bother? 85P out of shame that I actually parted with 35 Euros for the "privilege" of obtaining a bottle of this mediocre pinot noir.

Bright ruby. Lovely, sweet perfume, tinge of animal, bit of tobacco, sage. Zesty mouthfeel, fresh, balanced, tannins just a bit green. Fiinish that hangs around nicely. Summer wine, soft and on the lush side. Lacking concenration and depth but very fun. Given this was closed 18 months ago, perhaps it's still waking up? Give another year.

Drank two weeks ago on Orcas. Wine seemed a bit closed down or was there simply a lack of fruit? Not a hard wine but very subdued. Taste again in two years? Hmmm.

Le fruit reste très présent, peu de tanins (ou fin), peu d’acidité, plaisant
