Still holding up after 10 years but time to drink up. Red cherry, raspberry, and rhubarb with some spice and earth notes. Acidity has been tamed and finish is medium at this point.

Improved versus 2012. Drinking nicely with back cherry, cola and stemmy notes. Light bodied and supple. Well integrated acid and tannin. Probably won't improve any further.

Beautiful aromatic wine sealed with the cork from hell. Never did get it out - had to ultimately push it in and put the wine through a strainer. Worth it!

I'm probably being too liberal with this rating but with duck confit, this wine is sublime. Perfect right now. Yes, it is SLH wine so austere and beautiful. It lingers but light like a cloud not heavy like the pain of a bat. This wine dances. Drink over the next couple of years.

Amazingly integrated and balanced. Ding a point for just a tiny peak of heat from the alcohol. After drinking many a Roar at many a stage in the aging process, this is more complete than others. Full and luscious exhibiting a full rich texture that flows throughout. Its a lush CA but not at all jammy or overly concentrated. In a perfect spot for drinking now. Cannot fathom it getting any better. Outstanding!

Maybe not my style but I have liked these in the past. Somewhat flimsy/thin texture. Bit astringent. Bright red fruit. Fair finish. My concern is that I may have held on to this too long and it's past prime. I have one more and will update accordingly.

Popped and poured. Medium-plus bright ruby/purple. Quite the nice perfume on this, with expressive ripe blueberry, raspberry, and currant fruit complimented by impressions of fresh beets, spiced incense, and perhaps a subtle hint of sandalwood powder. This is a nice pinot - not something that blows you away, but a rather good cali example. Sweet red fruit, reasonable acidity, but somehow a riper style I am growing away from.

P and P. I agree with most people that this is a ripe CA pinot with a bright nose of cherry and cola. I personally found the mid palate one dimensional and rather short. The finish showed some heat that got slightly more pronounced as the wine opened and warmed to room temperature. Nevertheless, a pleasant, allbeit a straight forward wine.
