Definitely better than my notes of January 2019. Apples, melon, tropical fruit, and a hint of spice. Nicely balanced, crisp, and a medium length finish. Nice pairing with St. Patty's corned beef

Greenish gold color. Interesting nose of lime zest, key lime pie, graham cracker, lily flower, and a salty mineral character. Moderate acidity here with a granny smith apple type palate. There's a touch of incipient oxidation too, but it's a bit like looking at it through a stained glass window and it hasn't quite entered the habitus. Cuvee Frederic Emile if Geisberg were planted to Gewurz Traminer.

Impromptu dinner and tasting with our close friends (Our Farm in NJ) : Nice gewurz brought by a friend to have withhold crab and shrimp en croute dish as a first course. Lots of tropical fruit flavors that went well with the lightly spicy tomato based dish. Nice texture and a fairly long finish. Slightly nutty. Solid wine from a great pruducer.

Subtle, honeysuckle on the nose: stone fruit and melon on the palate. Tasted as part of a virtual Gewurz tasting of our local wine club.

Pale yellow, with some green highlights. Subtle Gewürzt nose - very Alsatian, lychees, peaches, touch of mown hay. Fairly neutral entry, light flowers and apples, modest acidity - supports the fruit that's there, but overall very light. Slight nuttiness on the finish. Good wine, but lacks acidity and maybe it a little too subtle.

Light in all respects. Good Gerwurtz nose, lighter in the mouth. Short on acidity for the flavor. Drinks well now.

Disappointing, not much intensity in the nose or flavor. Some fruit, maybe apples and melons, and hints of spice in the short to medium finish.

At tasting. Brief note. Best white of the tasting and certainly contender for WOTN among all the great reds on the table. Pours a light golden straw in the glass. Blind I would've thought this was no more than 6-8 years old. Nose too is exceedingly fresh and painfully intense with rich notes of mango puree, baked pears, guava, pineapple, searing tart lemon, a plethora of german baking spice and fine powdery minerals. Midpalate foreshadows the finish as it builds …

Opened last night, sat in the fridge since with a cork jammed in. Serving now at a nice, cool temp. Has the Gewurz aromas of floral and melon with some of the spicy inflection. The palate is kind of boring to me, exhibiting some acidity but it doesn't have much complexity and the fruit seems kinda dead. There is some lime in the finish and a bitter note but that's about it.

Stony Hill Vineyard Tasting (Stony Hill Vineyard St Helena, CA) : A really nice expression of Gewurztraminer. The color of the wine was a very light straw color with some decent viscosity. The nose was wonderful, which provided an aroma of violets, honey suckle and lavender. The taste of this dry white wine offered very nice acidity with flavors of tart blueberry, stone fruit and lychee fruit. The finish was amazing with a lasting flavor of lychee fruit and a …

On the nose- Dried rose petals, minerality, tropical fruits, a bit of earthy nutty aromas On the nose- Dried rose petals, minerality, tropical fruits, and a bit of earthy nutty aromas with nice acid and a great richness on the mid palate that goes all the way to the finish with great weight....This wine is great now but will age for years to come for sure

The fruit and spice is developing and it was better than in the past but still not my favorite.

This is a rather thin, dry and herbal tasting Gewurz.

The wine is still as I last described it. I used today as cooking wine for a pork loin.

I don’t agree with the winemakers tasting notes on this wine. The wine has a very closed nose with some scents of citrus. The taste is very narrow in scope with citrus and some spice but the flavors are not bonded together. The fruit is very tart and the taste of this wine is more like a Pinot Gris and a small one at that. Hopefully it will develop and open-up and be more generous in the future. Today I …
