Fruits like plums, blackberries, and prunes dominate this dry field blend. Mild acidity. Medium tannins. Decent for $10. Drink now.

My Grade: EX-. Interesting field blend of no less than 23 different grape varietals from a single vineyard. Deep purple, cherry rim. Nose: expressive with fruit-gums, blackberry, blueberry, licorice, black pepper, alcohol. Palate: intense bright raspberry, tart cherry and pomegranate, black pepper, dried herbs, quite hot, sweet and sour notes with some salinity, fine tannins, long sour cherry finish. There is a lot going on here (maybe too much?) in this Mad Scientist blend and it's a bit confused right …
