Bestheim Pinot Gris

1/2-btl. Non-blind. Had immediately w/Mats E. Impression: Almost very good. Pale color. Artificial pears on the nose (Piggelin) and on the palate. The structure of the wine is very near a better nihonshu (saké). Filled, oily, smooth and with discreet acids. Exceptional balance of all components in this sturdy structure. Not layered or interesting other than the fantastic balance. A most pleasant wine to drink. The only btl to be emptied tonight.
