Tastes like a big red. Spice on the nose. Smells of dark fruit --- maybe blackberry? Open up a lot on day 2, though smells deeper than it tastes.

This wine was laden with dark fruit and licorice that flowed nicely into flavors of leather and tobacco with some smokiness. It didn't fit seamlessly, but was more than acceptable.

Straightforward shiraz, big and jammy, with deep black fruits and a nice sweetness. Nothing huge and complicated, but a good wine to pop open with a burger. We had with blue cheese burgers and the slightly sweet, jammy note was perfect with the blue cheese bite.
