Terravox Cloeta

Decided to drink a Kansas City wine during the KC/TB Super Bowl. Yes, I had one, purchased from Vox Vineyards during 2016 Berserker Day. Drank over two days. Dark core red with some bricking, some fine sediment. Nose rather shy at first, but evincing foxy tell of American heritage grapes. Medium body. Nose with time gives some black grapes, raspberry, whiffs of allspice, milk chocolate. A bit of Gamay character. Finish is slightly tart, with some subtle tannins that show …

First wine from Missouri and first Cloeta. Kind of reminds me of Black Muscat with toned down aromatics crossed with Lacrima. Floral, plummy, hints of coffee on the finish. A bit "foxy", I think, similar to some of the other North American grapes I've had, but not in any way overwhelming. A very worthwhile experiment from last year's Berserker Day.
