Exceptional. Drank after 1 hr decant then refrigerated with air/oxygen extraction system x2 weeks and redrank with Dalla Valle Cab 2001 and Amizetta Reserve Cab 2020 handled similarly and it was absolutely great and the best of the 3.

Deep ruby and orange in the glass. Flowery scent of violet, then mushrooms and some tobacco. When sipped, after a nice load of tannins, the red fruits come and watermelon. Beautifully balanced, very persistent, a real barolo. Yes, in its very "barolish" way, this bottle was very much meeting all expectations.

Very good aged Barolo. Good body and intensity with many aged flavors. The wine has mellowed out and now seems on the other side of the peak. Recommend drinking over the next few years.

Impressively aged normale, leaning quite clearly modern. Very dark ruby colour, nose of dark cherry, tar and licorice. Same sensations on palate, which is quite rich. Seems it can go for quite a few more years as it still packs a punch. update: fell apart a bit after around 5-6 hours of air so may revise that comment on ageing

Complex aromatics of tar, lipstick, aniseed and black fruits. It is rich and quite glossy with good intensity on the palate. It has both power and poise.

Tasted blind. Nose is all about Barolo, with roses and red fruit. But on the palate it's very tannic, with a slightly bitter finish. Still young.

Tasted at an enoteca in Barolo on 6/15. This showed all the characteristics of well-aged Barolo. Somewhat austere bouquet, very well integrated palate. Not sure about holding onto this for more than a few years. It's drinking great right now and imparted the impression it is at or near peak.

In a stunning spot right now, this is a serious Barolo that has come together very well. Roses, iron, and a silky mouthfeel. Quite enjoyable!

Decanted for about two hours. A lot of violets on the nose - cherries, tobacco, blueberries??? I'm getting the oak that others are tasting, but it's not out of balance or overdone to my thinking. Licorice, and those blueberries again..... Good balance with long grippy tannins..... Good stuff.

Dark cherry color, bright nebbiolo fruit on nose. Lilacs (that's the nebbiolo thing that we often call violets or roses, it's more like lilacs here), lavender, and cherry on nose. Really nice, broad palate with pleasant acids and little sourness. Earlier on there was a strange Margaux-like sweetness around the edges which was not a good thing. 14.5 alcohol is very well integrated. Steak wine with more astringency as the bottle takes on air. Maybe some more upswing before it …

traditionalits, try not to slit your throats. i'm not gonna worry about it, though. it's a nice enough drinking wine if you can tolerate the oak and tannin, since there is a good dollop of (modern) fruit. i didn't have any control of this bottle, but it should have been decanted an hour. a couple of self proclaimed barolo "experts" declared this the second coming, and drank it down in less than a half hour. good for them. it is …
