Needed something for cooking and drinking while cooking and this tastes really nice. Glad I found it. Been sitting on it for 10 years.

This wine was a curveball at our blind tasting. The green pepper that typically sticks out on Carmenere was covered up by a bit of brett, which lead most people to think this was cab franc from bordeaux. An interesting and tasty departure from the norm in Chile, for sure.

Nose of stagnant marshland. Bad flavor. Down the drain.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like stoniness and black pepper. It tastes like blackberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Solid carmenere, new world, plums, wood, dark berries, a little spice. Not as much fruit as I'd like, but drinkable enough.

N: black plums, black cherries and cedar. Notes of vanilla. Hint of vanilla and smoke. P: nice fruit and spice. Mild minerality and higher alcohol. Needs some time to integrate and bring the elements together cohesively. But has potential. Wait to drink but if you drink now... Rated as 88-89.

Great ruby red color. Nose of spice and old wood. A little watery in body. A start of cherry gives way to a long solid finish of cracked pepper and maybe sage. Taste a leathery middle Very much like a light bodied cab. May be a bit unfair on rating due to similarity to cabs and I prefer a heavy cab.

Deep ruby purple. Moderate nose of black fruit, black cherry, and oak. Northern black cherry flavor with layers of raspberry and blackberry. The full, complex palate evolves to mouth-watering acidity and a long dark chocolate and leather finish. 93% carmenere, 7% cabernet sauvignon. Outstanding.

Decanted for 2+ hours, served with chicken marsala, arab rice and green beans. Rich purple color. Understated nose. Huge, bold fruit with strong blueberry and blackberry notes. Chewy, mouth-coating tannins, perhaps bit over-oaked but quite satisfying. Notes of tobacco, white pepper and sandy earth. A steal at $10. Would definitely buy again.
