Danila Pisano Rossese di Dolceacqua

This was fun to try. Made from an obscure red Italian grape, Rossese, in the Ligurian mountain village of Dolceacqua. Grown on super steep mountain slopes not far from the French border and not far inland from the coast. Has sort of a Barbaresco weight with a tad less going on.Good acid and very fresh, almost prickly mouthfeel. Delicate violets & rose aromas. Cherry, pomegrants and spice. At $18 this is a few dollars overpriced but still cool to try …
