The nose seesaws between big red fruit and rich dirt--as another reviewer mentioned--very entertaining. On the palate thick and smooth with a perfect balance of rasberry and a touch of peppery acidity and just a minimal tannic kick at the end. This is a wonderful wine, especially for the price...

Great example of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot. Pleasant fruit and wood notes on the nose, soft mouth feel and flavors of dark berry, herbs and caramel.

Dark color, classic SRH. Lively fruit nose. Nice mix of fruit and spice/earth. Raspberry, oak, spice on the palate. Very smooth and extremely drinkable. Fantastic pinot.

Concentrated red fruit, fresh yet has lots of oak induced nuances without being overdone. Not cola heavy as I find many domestic pinots. Lovely spice and acidity contributed to an excellent finish.

Very dark, classic SRH color. aroma is light raspberry, incense, and sweet smokey cumin spice. extremely entertaining nose. The red fruit takes a back seat to the spice, vanilla, and oak on the palate though. Very good complexity. Creamy mouthfeel. Finish is long and warm, touch of heat but not distracting. Overall great wine in the big bold style I enjoy. Oh, and we are enjoying this overlooking the ocean in Laguna Beach on a January day in the 80's, …
