Christoffel-Berres Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese *** Goldkapsel

Amazing--truly an incredible GK--and not from Crisotffel Berres but from Elisabeth Cristoffel Berres (Could not get her name into CT) . A perfect confluence of burnt cognac color infused iwth serious tropical fruits and smoke, apricot and loquat, orange, pineapple and pear. Nice length. Do drink up!

Delightful! Pretty, fragrant and very Urziger Wurzgarten. Medium gokden amber in color, a noae of honey, petrol and amoke. On the palate, led by smoke and flint but opening in time to dried apricot, dried tropical flowers, honey, candied lemon peel and the wonderful UW spice garden sticking up through the flint. Excellently preserved , demonstrating that old Gold Kapsul vines make for finer and more durable aging

From a friend's cellar. Good fill. Medium dark color. Nice viscosity on entry. Wonderful balance of dried apricots and hazelnuts, with apples in the background. Not too tart, not too sweet. Long finish.
