Bimbadgen, Myall Road Botrytis Semillon, Riverina

Excellent dessert wine. Quite fresh acidity to balance the rich sweet flavours.

This wine has a nice apparent golden color, like any dessert wine. There is an apparent “yellow” petroleum smell. It comes rather as a surprise for a botrytis Semillon. There is some butterscotch coming through, but not an immense amount that one would expect coming from this grape variety. I also noticed some “dirty” caramel.
