Penultimate of 4 bottles, last consumed a bottle ~3.5 yrs ago. Orchard fruits, lychee, juicy pear, chalky slate and minerals, with a hint of honeyed sweetness to top it off. Drink through 2026+.

Clean as a whistle, apple and some peach but unmistakable gravel and stone with sharp strict acidity. An austere and authentic dry Vouvray that only suffered since it was opened after the Dagueneau Pur Sang. Definitely drinking well now but enough acidity to last some years yet.

Tasty, consumed over 3 nights. Very slate-like to top off the honey-drizzled finish.

I opened this wine literally a week ago, and have been having a glass every few nights. The nose shows off ripe honeycrisp apples, a tangerine zing, some honey, wet rocks, and a floral note. On the palate, there is tremendous energy, with passionfruit drizzled in honey, followed by a bright spiciness that lingers into the long and tense finish...with more tangerine and chalk. This wine is still going strong after being opened for a week. Delicious now, it will …

Absolutely superb. Its fruit is lean and citric, putting the focus squarely on the crackling, tactile minerality that basically coats your palate in chalk, leaving you thirsting for another sip. Puts mouth-watering refreshment in a complex, compelling package.

Some faint honeyed Chenin on the nose. Loads of wet stone minerality pinioning this but fruit is subsumed. Bit of ruby red grapefruit, faint apricot. It's feeling disjointed right now. Hard to know if this is in a dumb place or if this Chidaine vintage isn't aging gracefully. I drank plenty of the Clos Baudoin when it was Prince Poniatowski's property. And as sloppy as his wine making may have been, those wines aged far more dependably than Chidaine's.

Really superb Vouvray, built on a rocky acidic core around which is a hugely complex wine, with all the classic aromas of lanolin and orchard fruits, but also freshly halved grapefruits, jasmine, and chalk. Really electric on the palate, with loads of tension and energy from the acid and just a drop of honey to keep it all in balance. It was also surprisingly open and just delicious. There's a good bit of hype about this vineyard, but from the …

More restrained than NZ sauvigon blancs I've had. Good acid, but pretty tame.

Waxy bees honey and florals, followed by honey and peach flavours on the palate. Cloying sweetness coats the mouth with big ripe fruits, light apple and flinty finish.
