Haskell's Spring Tasting (Lots of low ratings including Veuve Clicquot) (Bloomington, MN) : Ok this was very nice with strawberries, rose petals, spice, minerals and chalk. Very good offering and way better than the Veuve.

Napa Trip; 3/7/2026-3/14/2026 (Napa, CA) : Medium blood orange color. Followed a glass over 2 hours. I can't say I was enamoured by this. It was the 33rd bottling, released mid 2025, 2021 base vintage. 6wC, 32PN. It was rather heavy handed with sour citrus fruit and sourdough notes.

PnP very chilled. Bright pink color, very effervescent, tiny bubble stream. Great stuff for the price. Fresh, fruity, clean and well made. Nothing off, $28

31st Bottling. A nice aperitif bubbly. Good bead, refreshing, rather one dimensional though. A fair value at best with so much sparkling rose out there to choose from.

A little better than the first bottle we had, however, nothing spectacular. Best when well chilled.

Seems like a little bit past its prime. Color appeared more orange than pink. This was from the 31st bottling. The sparkling wine seemed stale, with little to no life left. Anyway, pouring some orange juice in the glass fixed it… Merry Christmas

The theme for our Fourth of July Barbecue was everything American. I purchased the Schramsberg as a our sparkler, and it did not disappoint. It was light, refreshing, and it had just the right amount of fruit. It went especially well with a Strawberry Shortcake. Is it worth $35 a bottle? Absolutely, Positively.

A bit on the sweet side and overpriced in a restaurant where I bought it. Okay, but there are better sparklers in the same price range. Produced in Healdsburg, not Napa Valley.

13.8% abv 52% Pinot Noir; 48% Chardonnay No Vintage but "31st BOTTLING." Beginning in 2022 Mirabelle started designating the bottling number. The 31st bottling consists of 78% 2019 vintage with rest selected from previous vintages. Served well-chilled (6c/43f) with Christmas Dinner. Nice light pale pink in the glass. Nose of Strawberry. Small, fine bubbles. Just a hint of sweetness. Crisp and Refreshing with a pleasant, lingering finish.

Never a fan of this and this one does not change my mind. Can't believe this is $30 and features strawberry, minerals and spice. Needs more acidity and pales in comparison to their vintage wines.

Really similar to the Schramsberg brut rose, but less refined. Nose: Strawberries, toast. Palate: Strawberries, toast, cream, green apple. Medium+ acid, really fine bubbles, medium+ finish, medium body, just a bit of tannin. The sugar level is a little too high IMO, needs a little more acid to balance, but otherwise a really good value for $25 bubbles.

A nice sparkler from California. This is good for drinking on a summer day. Smooth long on the palate, the Pinot Noir stands out; Chardonnay takes second fiddle.

Complex apple, dried berry, toast, and mineral nose. Good fruit and definition on the palate; brightly acidic with strawberry and apple flavours that linger with a subtle sense of salinity. 4/5

Tasted at a restaurant where it may not have been quite chilled enough, but it seemed sweet without enough balancing acidity.

Pale pink. Medium intensity on the nose with apple, raspberry, and pastry. Medium intensity on the palate. High acidity, medium body, medium alcohol, medium finish. Enjoyable, well balanced wine with good length, intensity and complexity.

Nose and taste of red fruit, distinctly apple. Good balance. Fruit stays through the finish to the end of the bottle. Crisp, not too sweet. Again, nice bottle for the money.

Consistent with previous bottle. Serving well chilled made for a better drinking experience but still not a rebuy for me, even at the sale price.

Red fruit, but hard to pick out anything in particular. Decent balance between sugar and acidity; not too sweet; not complex. Taste and fruit hang in there until the end of the bottle - which isn't bad. Good QPR for what it is.

A solid rose sparkler but flavors are a bit muddled and perhaps not enough acidity for the dosage level so it isn't as crisp as I would like. It probably could have been served a touch colder so I will try my last bottle well chilled but this is a somewhat simple, crowd pleasing wine that most will enjoy and is quite fine for the sale price paid.

Fairly sweet but made to taste balanced at refrigerator temperature. Traditionally made apparently, with some creamy strawberry notes. Medium length finish where sugar and acid seem to dominate over the fruit. There's hints of sophistication here. But ultimately not sure the extra work over force carbonated, tank aged wine is worth it in this bottling.

Served ice cold. Light salmon blush color. Very effervescent - long lasting fine bubbles. Significant toast/yeast on the nose that is not evident on the palate. Great white fruit. Light to medium, well balanced acid. Light alcohol. Overall an excellent rose sparkler. 77% Chardonnay, 23% Pinot Noir. 90-91 pts easily.

Tasting Notes - "The 2011 Querencia has generous aromas of watermelon, lemon and mandarin orange. It’s fruitful nose is accentuated by developed aromas of apricot crumb cake and brioche. The palate sustains lasting flavors of ruby red grapefruit, lemon custard and strawberry, which linger with a long, crisp and mouthwatering finish." - Winemakers Sean Thompson and Hugh Davies Varietal Composition: 77% Chardonnay, 23% Pinot Noir, County Composition: 100% Napa Appellation: Napa Valley Harvest Dates: August 30 - October 13, 2011 …
