Moon Meadow Vineyard Pinot Noir Isabel's Vineyard

This garnet-colored gem from Carneros drinks closer to an OR PN than it does to some of it's bigger, fruit forward CA brethren from the Santa Lucia/Rita appellations. Cherry cola, red fruits and some cocoa on the bouquet gives way to a medium body with dried cranberries, tart cherries, ripe raspberries and light oak with whispy tannins on the palate with some hints of underlying mushroom dust. Way too fruity and truthfully sugary to enjoy. Serving temp was bang on, and it still came across as a sugar cube wrapped in grape skins. Regrettably not my cup of tea
