The suggested drinking window had me worried, so I sampled some using the Coravin. Pleasant and still drinkable. Nothing special. A bit of bitterness to go with the sweetness. Alternates between interesting and perhaps flawed

I was a bit disappointed I thought the sweetness lacked balance with acid and with other flavors. The flavor did develop more breadth and depth over a few days, but not as much as I expected

Intro to Banyuls. Subtle but tasty. Not too syrupy, but I felt it lacked the acidity to balance the sweetness. Went well with a Valrhona ganache tart. Heavy sediment.

Tasty. Surprisingly oxidized, but excellent poise and balance. Went perfectly with strawberry rhubarb crisp. Huge amount of sediment - needs a filter or standing up for a while.

Nice inexpensive bottle of Banyuls. Good QPR @ $15. Needed air, so recommend quick decant or open 1 hr beforehand. Nice lightly porty nose, some red fruits and dirt peeking through. Lightly sweet taste, but balanced, with nice fruit, earth, light tannins and solid acidity. Nice, but not spectacular, but for $15, awesome! No need to hold, drink up.
