Had this in a restaurant setting with friends, started a touch muted but was gorgeous around the 30min mark when the wine fully opened up. Classic Raveneau savory/smoky yellow fruit, with seaweed, Iodine, crushed Oyster shells. Nice open knit, plush texture with medium acidity. No formal notes taken as this was opened at a wine dinner This was just drinking wonderfully - beautiful aromas of lime zest and intense minerality and a dense but fairly linear palate of dry rocks and saline. The power and elegance of this wine is so beautifully balanced - Just what I would expect from a benchmark Chablis

Ahh, en nese til å dø for. Krystallklar hvit frukt, mineralitetsdrevet. Kjølig. Nydelig smakskurve. En intens men balansert syre bærer vinen elegant fra anslag til finish. Mer imponerende nå enn når jeg har smakt den før. Har et langt liv foran seg.

Dauvissat plus X Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany) : *** all wines tasted blind *** Glass: Zalto Bordeaux Clear, medium golden color. Beautiful deep and complex nose with lots of ripe yellow fruit, stony mineral notes and herbs. On the palate a bit musty notes, interesting orange peel and a piercing mineral core. La bouche suit sur l'amplitude, un vin davantage large et ample que long et ciselé. Dobbeltdekantert på formiddagen og servert på kvelden. Fin gul farge uten å bli bekymret. Medium intens nese med sitrus, østersskall, granny smith, kaldt smør og mineraler. Kjølig og mineralsk uttrykk, noe edelråte om man pirker. Likevel en flott og middels fyldig Chablis. Svært drikkevennlig nå, Raveneau fikk til noe i denne vanskelige årgangen. Utmerket til osten Epoisses.

Gorgeous and forward nose with gobs of honeyed florals and chalky minerality. There's a slight exotic edge here but this strikes me less as the influence of botrytis and more of that rocks & honey profile of great aged Raveneau. Full bodied flavors with a linear acidic streak from first sip to finish, like an electric current right down the middle of your palate. Moderate finish. The 2013 Vaillons is very good.

Popped and poured. Wow this is showing well tonight. Lemon and citrus nose with a sea breeze note and some honey. The palate is rich, deep and layered with a dose of saline. Lots of lemony citrus with a lovely glycerol/creamy texture that lasts on the finish but is not cloying. Really good 13, probably the richest Chablis from the vintage so far (small sample size).

Klarer vi enda en gul en? Ja! Helt åpen. God modning på frukten. Snev av botrytis, men uten overmodning. Svært mineralsk. Kjølig, presis og flott. Saftig i munn, harmonisk, med god balanse, men kunne nok hatt litt mer løft i syren. God lengde.

Expressing the difficulty of the vintage as this is not so much quintessential Chablis. Upon opening, the slightly tropical and warmer fruit character shows, this showed less as time went on. There is still an identifiable Chablis mineral character, it's just much less than usual. This bottle is more Chablis on the palate than nose. Knapp vin, selv etter tre timer på karaffel. Kjølig uttrykk med mineralitet av kritt og kalk. Gule blomster og hint av smør. Sitrusdominert fruktbilde, med svak touch av ananas. Forblir tight og uforløst også i munn. Fjærlett og elegant, men med en intens syre. Aprikos og sitrus. Medium fylde og medium pluss konsentrasjon. Dette er ikke lett å drikke nå. Vil nok trenge mange år i kjelleren.

Bright, pale yellow. The vintage's exotic character shows with Riesling-esque petrol preluding peach and crushed rock notes. Excellent energy, with flavors of stone fruit and intense minerality. There's a lot of dry extract here. The 2013 Vaillons is notably excellent both for the vintage and it's early accessibility.

Bright yellow. Gorgeous nose of lemon, blossom honey, and crushed rock. Racy with flavors of honeyed lemon with a nice mineral backbone. The 2013 Les Forêts isn't the most complex of efforts but it is delicious.
