Domaine Weinbach Les vignes du precheur

Pale yellow, medium-light bodied for a white. Very aromatic. Riesling esque on the nose with pineapple, mango, lychee and a funky feet/cheese smell (in a good way!). Some honey aroma akin to Pinot Gris as well. Not a sweet wine but there’s some residual sugar, not quite off-dry but maybe 50% of the way there. Lots of pineapple, slate, orange blossom. Long finish! Angler w/ Morgan (Angler, SF) : @Angler w/ Nashville hot fried fish collar. (Edelzwicker / field blend). Neutral. Slightly reductive nose. Vague suggestions of honey / botrytis (could be my imagination). Slight RS - maybe 15g. Medium acid. Medium bitterness. Slightly elevated alcohol - 13.5%. Decent weight. Light underripe peach on the palate. Not super expressive but great pairing!

Excellent. Pale honey color in the glass. Nose with citrus, yellow apple, pears. Palate with nice medium acidity, mellow alcohol, medium body, medium length. Mirrored the nose, with a hint of petrol and red respberry, and kiwi. Wouldn’t mind giving this a few year in the bottle, but was quite nice already.

Light yellow. Fragrant nectarine nose and flavors where the Muscat more than pulls its weight. As with many Alsatian wines, still young due to the dynamic fruit/acid combination, like great ballroom dancers. What a difference a year made - in the bottle mainly; this has rounded considerably. A charming Alsace-wine with a vibrant, lively fruit, some sweetness, much freshness. a beautiful aperitif wine yet with plenty of layers to keep one interested. #podcast
