Lewis Grace Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

Very dark deep purple and opaque. Not my preferred style, but many people enjoyed at our gathering. Smooth tannins. Dark berries, chocolate and touch of mocha. It’s a big wine!

Opaque inky color with notes of vanilla, blueberry, mocha, cassis and black raspberry liqueur. Full-bodied with firm but fine tannins and flavors of cassis, kirsch and vanilla with plenty of barrel spice. Quite young, I'd suggest a few more years to integrate the barrel and tannin...from 2028+. (R&D)

I’ve really enjoyed the 2018 Lewis cab and decided to put it next to their Reserve to see how they compare. Dark ruby fruit - currants, blackberry, and dark cherry. Really smooth mid-palate with a nice purity and solid depth/concentration. Nice rich/vibrant flavors of cassis, cocoa/mocha, baking spices, and a graphite component. Fairly long finish. Definitely a treat. Needs time or a day of decant.

When you pop the cork you can instantly tell your in for a treat. When the nose hits you , the leather pencil and earth let you know what the palet is going to enjoy. A nice long finish completes this wine. It will definitely improve over time, and i will leave the remaining bottles in the cellar for at least 5 years , but if you do open now. I would decant and allow to fully open.

Wow, this is getting to be as good as it gets for Napa Cab. Generous, but accessible. Medium minus tannin. Dark black fruit palate, some smoke and grille marks. For this corner of Napa Cab, this is a serious treat.

Deep flavors, nice fruit. Mild and well rounded tannins . Huge wine.

No notes. One of the softer wines tasted today yet with enough structural backbone to lay down for 1-2 more years allowing the rest of the wine to come together a bit more.
