Quite a floral nose with a acidic tingling finish though only 14%. Maybe some violet in there but an ethanol feel in nose and palate. Some interesting flavours going on - not bad - am I buying a second case. No Saying all that it’s a rather nice lifted Grenache though and not a bad wine at all. It’s worth giving an hour or so to open up.

A top Grenache tasting in Budapest, no notes taken. Fantastic wine. So pure, rather Old World, not a candy or raisined style. Still quite generous and complex, with a smooth palate. Rich but nuanced and stylish. I want more. 93+ points or so. Ready to be drink.

Initially thinking this was thin given I love massively unctuous shiraz and was hoping for a ganache version of that hedonism. For the first hour I wasnt so keen but after a couple hours I could really see the old vine come through and could really start to imagine and appreciate the history of the old bush vines. That said whilst I can appreciate it, I didn't love it. Though I definitely do love the place, Angaston is a town …

Vinosphere (Town Hall, Sydney) : Red berry, sweet spice, cream soda, slight jubey. Juicy, very slight wood glue. Plenty of alcohol, talc textured tannins Hmm.
