This to me is essense of Zin. Garnet Red color, big nose of brambly, blackberry bitter chocolate and chalk. The palate is weighty with classic Zin fruit flavor and not alcohol heat. There's plenty of acid and evident dusty tannin. This isn't complex but it's a Zin lovers wine for sure. Great Stuff.

We ordered this for dinner at the Devils Grill in Wintergreen, VA. The sommolier Joe recommended this bottle from their special "reserve" wine list. It was outstanding and drank as well as many other varietals and producers sold for many times greater cost. After tasting it, we asked around the table - did he say it was $32 or $132 - it was that good!
