My previous experiences with Coonawarra Shiraz and Cabernet has been of big fruit bomb nose with very upfront blackcurrent. So was very surprised how this Merlot was much more subtle and made in a quite old world style. It's drinking very well now and I wouldn't hang on to my other bottles for much longer.
