Domaine Billaud-Simon, Chablis, Tete d'Or

Good but not great, medium acidity and was unable to pair well with french oysters. much better with grilled prawns and pork.

Lemon yellow, crisp citrus palate, initially austere but there is a roundness mid palate that really lifts the wine. Quite mouth watering.

Really good stuff, particularly for VV. Complex, great finish, refreshing and floral nose

Very pale gold with a bright, floral, lemon rich nose. Full and very rich yet still elegant and very complex. A dense palate of ripe lemon and lime citrus fruit lead to flower blossom and a hint of crushed shells. Crisp, balanced and very long. Excellent.

Very definite, steely lime. No buttery roundness here, more for a refreshing aperitif this one.

Say goodbye to tooth enamel if you drink this one young. The nose on this wine reminds me of a rolling stream on a hike in a national park - fresh spring water over a bed of rocks, fresh air all around. Once you get it in your mouth, it's citrus acid bath time! Grapefruit and lemon overpower everything, and a load of acidity - crisp, clean, sharp acidity. Robe assez p�le. Le nez, un peu sur la retenue offre tout de m�me de beaux ar�mes de fruits blancs (poire) et d'agr�mes, de coquillage et des impressions d'un petit c�t� salin. En bouche c'est le charme. L'ensemble caresse la palais avec ses saveurs de fruits, d'agr�mes et sa pointe min�rale. Un vin frais, parfait pour les belles journ�es d'�t�. Tr�s bien !

Lovely flinty, piercing, text book Chablis that is lithe and direct. Not overly complex yet cools one from the core out with all its minerals and refreshing citrus traits.

Chablis, Melville Clonal Blending and The Round 3 Let 'Er Rip (My House In The South OC) : Pure crushed rocks with a good dose of saline and lots of grapefruit. Of the many Chablis we tasted along side this wine, this bottling had a lot of intensity and expression.

A very good village Chablis with just enough fruit to balance the razor-like acidity. You don't have to be an acid freak to love this wine, but it certainly helps!
