On PnP this had lots of sweet oak, dense, pretty one-dimensional, a bit extracted and hot. A glass-worth was poured and the remainder recorked in the bottle overnight. On the second night it was much better IMO. Drank over a couple hours (including with burgers for dinner, which worked well) and most of the overt oak blew off and some nice varietal character began to emerge. Clocking in at 15.5% abv, don't serve this too warm. I'd go with ~58F. …
