Şatomet Boutique Urla Mourvedre&Syrah&Merlot

Drinking very well at 9 years old. Dark garnet colour. Concentrated nose with good intensity. Blackberries, sour cherry, plums, smoke, dried herbs, hints of cedar, licorice. The palate is somewehere between medium and fully-bodied. Good freshness and overall balance. Still a small tannic bite on the finish. A good wine drinking well now, probably at peak. Technically well made. Just doesn't offer anything that really stands out. But definitely good. Could age another few years without problem.

Dusty nose showing a red berry character joined on the palate by black olive and cured meat notes. Mid-weight with grainy tannins and a rustic texture. Warm on its finish but well-lifted too.
