Fiorano (Boncompagni Ludovisi) Bianco

Beautifully oxidative, bruised apple and old clementine, aromas of orange and lemon candy, citrus blossoms, lilacs, Mediterranean herbs... soft, low acid but nice and fresh, a little hot, this kinda falls apart on the finish, bit it's moreish nonetheless. Drink it up, I can't imagine it's getting better...

Aromas of preserved lemon, linden, pine nuts, linseed, bay leaf, juniper, a touch of apricot jam. Dense, rich and oily on the palate, a modicum of acid keeps it fresh, quite oxidative but this is in great shape and I don't expect it to fall off a cliff anytime soon; it continues to open up and improve with air. Golden yellow mellow tropical funk

Deep yellow-gold color; hints of seared lemon, pine and almond; bright lemon on the palate, balanced with a roundness from sitting on the lees, touch of unctuousness on the finish swirling with good acidity and minerality. Satisfying mild grip of phenolics. So complex! Blend of 50% each Grechetto and Viognier. Very Mediterranean. Served with cod sauteed with lemon, thyme, capers and olives.

WIML90 Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of Windex, lychee and yellow pears. Flavors of lemon, lime and apricot. Medium acidity, light to medium body. Drink over the next few years.

Nice nose, good acidity, but starting to take on some toasty oak/oxidation/butterscotch on the finish. Drink up?

Took 4 days after opened to get really good. Medium yellow color, aromas of beeswax and spice, well textured, fine oak overlay, concentrated, refreshingly acidic, and mouth coating. Overall, an interesting, different, savory, and rich white wine.

50/50 Grechetto/Viognier, aged in large oak and chestnut barrels. Pear, melon, sweet lime, peach, floral, perfume aromas. That and oak on the palate. Medium+ body, high acidity, high alcohol. Long finish with nutty, perfumey, citrus rind notes lingering. I will aerate for a while on the next one to hopefully tame the initial oakiness and heat and perfume. Well balanced, nice complexity, long finish - all signs of a very good wine.

Grecheto and viognier. Very unique. Waxy peach floral almond. Full body and medium acid. Lowish alcohol. Definitely worth the price. I heard they Grubbed up the old vines and replaced them which is kind of a bummer but maybe these vines will be old.someday.

Gorgeous fruit, stunning minerality. This wine has it all. Slight oak on the nose, unnoticeable on the palate. Great example of stellar Italian white from little known region.
