Similar to last night’s 2015 with robust black and red berries throughout, this was slightly bigger and blacker, and also slightly less nuanced or well textured. Also plenty of life ahead for this wine, so possible upside from here?

Slightly tart, light toast, fruit forward, dry, more flavor/fruit than other pinots I've had recently. Developed over the next two hours. This wine was superb, and it could use a few more years in the cellar.

This wine is showing much better on the 2nd day after being under cork in the fridge and allowed to get back to room temperature. The nose has opened up as well as the flavors in the mouth. No rush to open it but if you do, let it air out for a good couple of hours if possible for even better enjoyment. The color is darker purple for a pinot but by no means overly so...just made me believe …
