Garnet core and a practically colorless rim. Nice translucence. A fine nose of strawberries, ginger, soy sauce, and forest floor. However, the palate is one dimensional, disappointing: strawberry jam and fakey strawberry cough syrup. Maybe some oak and minerality. The body was medium full and attractively soft. The length was very long, a plus if these flavors appeal to you.
