First Blind Tasting: 4 wines (My room in Forbes) : Dull garnet/purple in the glass. Nose of black peper, with --barnyard. Not much fruit. On the palate, light, with raspberries and cherries, med+ tannins. Guess: cotes de rhone - lower rhone producer. Actually: Beaujolais (from cotes de brouilly, apparently this plot is the only black soil on the hill - not to be confused wtih clay). 12%, $12.50
